and Ellie Costello abruptly went to a live news feed as appeared on the show to hit out at the Labour government while at the farmers protest.

Farmers have been left furious after the Labour government announceds that from April 2026, a £1m cap will be placed on tax-free inheritance, with anything above taxed at 20% – lower than the usual 40%.

Farage has joined the “rural revolt” as farmers are protesting against these tax hikes, fearing the bills could force them to lose their farms.

He told the presenters: “The reality is getting through that whilst farms with their buildings and lands may have a relatively high asset value, their incomes are pretty pitiful.

“Many farming families are pretty much on minimum wage or less, these are not rich people, these are hard working people.

“In previous years they’ve had better times, but right now life is tough. Food prices are low, the supermarkets are squeezing them, these are not wealthy people at all.”

It comes after Farage hit out at Labour exclusively in the Daily Express, saying the decision is “nothing short of a betrayal against our agricultural industry and rural communities”.

He warned and Rachel Reeves’ “relentless” assault will destroy communities across the countryside.

He raged that if these farmers do sell, they “would get some money, but they would lose their way of life”.

Farage added: “This is about more than where they live, this is about a complete culture and way of life

“Somehow the Treasury and government seem to has lost complete connection with where food comes from and the English countryside.”

“I have to say, Westminster is so out of touch.”
