Hosts Alex Scott and Alex Jones had promised a live hosting of the draw at the start of the programme, but instead began with an interview with star Sara Cox. Disgruntled viewers quickly flooded X, formerly known as Twitter, demanding the show cut to the sporting event, reports
One viewer exclaimed: “Why didn’t they just do the draw first?? Seems bizarre to put it on 10 mins into a programme which has no relevance to the cup whatsoever anyway! #TheOneShow #FACupDraw #NUFC #FACup” Another urged: “Can we just get on with the FA Cup draw please, thanks, Everyone.”

During a thrilling segment of the show, Alex Jones passed the baton to Kelly Somers for the much-anticipated Fifth Round Draw, with football icons Theo Walcott and Alex Scott by her side. The draw revealed some exciting matchups.
Preston North End will go against Burnley, Aston Villa is set to clash with Cardiff City, and there’s a potential Doncaster or Crystal Palace versus Millwall game.

Theo Walcott also shared insights into his early career, reflecting on his debut at 16 as he acknowledged: “Yeah, I had to grow up very fast, the way I played, to be honest.
“It was quite an unreal moment for me, I lived a lot of boys dreams, I really did.”
