Motorists travelling in are set to be targeted with within months under a dramatic shakeup.

The charging zone will hit most with the scheme running Monday to Friday between 7am and 6pm.
Drivers are also slapped with fees for entering the zone on Saturday and Sunday between 12pm and 6pm.

“From 25 December 2025, the CVD will be discontinued. From this date, all vehicle owners, unless in receipt of another discount or exemption, will need to pay to enter the Congestion Charge zone during charging hours.”
Those living inside the Congestion Charge zone may be eligible for a 90% discount in a major boost to cash-strapped locals.
However, TfL has confirmed road users will have to supply certain documents as evidence to show individuals may be entitled to the discount.
While waiting for any application to be approved, officials stress that motorists must continue to pay the daily Congestion Charge.
