Royal fans spot same odd detail about Prince Harry’s name on Archie’s birth certificate

Royal enthusiasts were left gobsmacked after a surprising detail about was unearthed when his son’s birth certificate resurfaced online.

The Duke of Sussex, 40, made headlines this week as he prepared for the launch of the seventh Invictus Games today (Saturday, February 8) in Vancouver and Whistler, Canada.

In a documentary about the games, Harry stated: “Our community represents some of the bravest and most dedicated individuals from 23 nations across the globe.

“Heart of Invictus is the incredible story of competitors brought together through service, who are now united through sport.”

However, social media users have been sent into a frenzy after spotting an unexpected detail on Prince Archie’s birth certificate, which has reemerged on X. The document reveals that Harry’s real name is not Harry, but Henry.

Comments flooded in, with one user exclaiming: “PRINCE HARRYS REAL NAME IS HENRY?? wtf,” while another echoed the sentiment: “PRINCE HARRYS REAL NAME IS H E N R Y?” Indeed, Harry’s full name, as listed on his birth certificate, is Henry Charles Albert David. This name also appears on his children’s birth certificates.

Like other members of the Royal Family, he doesn’t use a fixed surname and has used ‘Wales’, ‘Sussex’ and ‘Mountbatten-Windsor’ at different times in his life.

At the WellChild Awards, he humorously commented on his name, saying: “My name is Henry, but everyone calls me Harry. I have no idea.”

Last year, marked the countdown to the 2025 Invictus Games in an address to competitors. He said: “There’s a reason the Invictus Games have come back to Canada, because you guys have snow!

“It is one of the most incredible things. I am so grateful is the entire organizing committee and the government-every single level, here in Canada, for making this, we couldn’t have done this without support right from the get-go.”
