Cinnamon rolls will be ‘soft and fluffy’ using simple 20-minute air fryer recipe
Cinnamon rolls, also known as cinnamon buns, are delicious, doughy, sweet snacks that are commonly served in Northern Europe and North America.
The soft, flavoursome bun is usually served as a snack or for breakfast with a strong coffee.
Traditionally, cinnamon rolls are made with yeast-leavened dough and filled with a decadent cinnamon and sugar mixture. They are then rolled and topped with icing, cream cheese frosting, a glaze, or powdered sugar.
Cinnamon rolls often require making a yeast-leavened dough that needs time to rise.
Luckily, this simple from Arman Liew at , which he describes as “soft, fluffy and loaded with a cream cheese frosting”, requires just two ingredients for the dough and no yeast.

Traditionally, cinnamon rolls are made with yeast-leavened dough
This takes just 20 minutes to make from scratch and doesn’t require an oven. The buns are perfectly baked after just seven to eight minutes in the air fryer.
How to make quick air fryer cinnamon rolls
Ingredients
One and three-quarter cups self-raising flour
One cup of vanilla yoghurt or, Greek, coconut, or soy yoghurt
Two tablespoons melted butter
Quarter cup of brown sugar
Two teaspoons cinnamon
For the frosting
Two ounces of cream cheese softened
Two tablespoons of softened butter
Six tablespoons of confectioner sugar
Method
1. In a mixing bowl, add the flour and yoghurt. Mix them until they are combined, and a dough forms. If the dough is too thick and floury, add more yoghurt. If it’s too thin and liquid, add more flour.

2. Next, flour a kitchen surface and pop the dough on the floured surface. Knead it gently several times before rolling it out into a large rectangular shape. It needs to be half an inch thick.
3. In a small bowl, add the melted butter, brown sugar and cinnamon. Spread the mixture on top of the dough. Be sure to leave half an inch around the sides.
4. Roll the dough from the long end until it forms a log. Slice the log into eight portions.
5. Line your air fryer with baking paper and place three or four of the cinnamon rolls into the basket. Air fry at 180C/350F for seven to eight minutes or until the edges are lightly golden brown.
6. Remove the cinnamon rolls from the air fryer and add the rest of the rolls. Repeat the process until they’re cooked.
7. Allow the cinnamon rolls to cool for a while before adding the frosting. To make the frosting, add the cream cheese and butter to a mixing bowl. Beat them together until combined. Add the powdered sugar and combine until smooth. Top the buns with the frosting and enjoy.
The rolls can be stored in the fridge or covered for around three days. To reheat them, pop them in the microwave for around 20 seconds or put them in the air fryer for a couple of minutes.
