Prince Andrew could follow in his nephew’s footsteps, expert says

Despite the ongoing controversy over his friendship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and recent allegations linking him to suspected Chinese spy Yang Tengbo, Andrew continues to stay at the 30-room property with his former wife, Sarah Ferguson.
The Duke of York has reportedly been resisting King Charles’s apparent plans to move him and Sarah out of the Grade II home.
Speaking to Woman magazine, royal expert Emily Andrews said that Andrew, who will celebrate his 65th birthday later this month, could plan on releasing his own memoir.
Taking ideas from , who released Spare in 2023, Andrew could be set to “follow his example”.

Ms Andrews told the publication: “Some have speculated that Andrew might be forced to follow the example of the Sussexes and make millions from spilling royal secrets in a book or TV deal.”
She added: “Andrew could do a Harry and do some sort of tell-all interview on American TV, but that would mean he was completely persona non grata after that.
“These spares think they are so important until the next generation comes along and proves them utterly superfluous.”
Shortly after the release of Harry’s memoir, rumours began that Andrew was planning on releasing a memoir to clear his name and fix his image.

Speaking previously to the , a person – described as a “long-time friend” of the Duke of York – said : “It is inconceivable that he has not thought of this.
“Plenty in his circle think that’s just what he should do and Fergie, who has written her own memoir, My Story, has got all the contacts in publishing.”
Speaking following the death of the late Queen Elizabeth II, they added: “He would never have considered it while his mother was alive but it would be the perfect riposte now. Of course, the royals wouldn’t like it, but Fergie did hers and wasn’t ostracised — and as for Harry, they are even now talking about family reconciliation.”
