The 1% Club’s Lee Mack didn’t hold back in scolding a contestant after they made a biting remark about their mother.
ITV’s popular quiz show made its comeback on Saturday night (February 8), with fresh faces eager to test their common sense and vie for a jackpot of up to £100,000.
Early into the new episode, the comedian and host had to bid farewell to nineteen hopefuls, including Christine, a recruitment coordinator. Putting the eliminated contestant under the spotlight, Mack delved into her interests, learning that she pens horror poetry.
Christine disclosed her aspirations to spend the winnings on a facelift and other beauty enhancements, reports .
The conversation then turned to her son in the audience, prompting Lee to question him: “Did you think mum would do better?”

Don’t miss…
Michael admitted: “To be honest I’m surprised she got that far.”
While the crowd found humour in his response, Mack was unamused and quickly retorted: “That’s a bit harsh. That’s your mother, have some respect.”
In Christine’s final challenge, the stakes rose as the contestants tackled a puzzle with the prompt: “Amlan is very particular about how he lays out his apps on his home screen, which of these completes Amlan’s layout?”
The apps were cleverly arranged to hint at the familiar saying: ‘No point crying over spilt milk.’ Yet, more than a dozen contestants failed to piece it together.
