Travis Kelce is a pro at impersonating his Kansas City Chiefs teammate Patrick Mahomes.
Travis Kelce showed off his best Mahomes impersonation when he and his brother, Jason Kelce, talked with the Manning brothers, Peyton and Eli Manning, on the Feb. 6 episode of their “New Heights” podcast.
It all started when Jason Kelce asked Peyton and Eli Manning what it was like to work with Mahomes and Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts — who will face each other in the Super Bowl this weekend — when both attended the Manning Passing Academy.
“Jason, both those guys actually came to the camp as college players, as counselors. Jalen came twice, and you definitely just saw what a natural leader he was, quiet confidence, just the way he carries himself,” Peyton Manning said. “You can see why people want to follow him.
“And then Mahomes, his swagger just jumps out. I remember it was raining one night, and we were like, ‘Hey, I’m not sure we want to throw tonight. There’s people out there watching,'” Peyton Manning said. But before Peyton Manning could finish the story, Travis Kelce interrupted him with his Mahomes impersonation.
“Oh, man, I’ll throw. I’ll rip it right now,” Travis Kelce said in a deep voice, which made everyone laugh.
“I’ll sling it at anything,” he jokingly added.
On social media, fans couldn’t get enough of the moment.
One person commented on a clip that the “New Heights” X account posted and said, “Trav do you call plays in the huddle sounding like that?!”
Another said, “Lol, man, you can tell T.K. & Mahomie are close. T.K. has that down so well. Great story as well. Mahomes really has become a great leader.”
A third joked about the impersonation and said, “Sounds more like if Pat was a cartoon.”
Travis Kelce has done his Mahomes impersonation before. In January, he did it on his “New Heights” podcast when he talked with WNBA star Caitlin Clark about her favorite football players.
