Incredibly, one of Led Zeppelin’s most famous songs is only at No 10 in this fan poll. The opening track of their second album was released in 1969 and was the band’s first US hit to be certified gold. Back in 2014, BBC Radio 2 listeners voted the track as having the greatest guitar riff of all time.
9. Immigrant Song
Another one of Led Zeppelin’s greatest tracks is all the way back here at No 9. The 1970 hit single features Norse mythology lyrics and that iconic scream and guitar riff.
8. Over the Hills and Far Away
The first single from 1973 album Houses of the Holy features Page on a six-string acoustic guitar before switching to electric with the rest of the band in what suddenly becomes almost a totally different song.

A folk ballad recorded for 1971’s Led Zeppelin IV, Page plays acoustic guitar with Jones on the mandolin. Meanwhile, Plant starts off with much lower vocals on lyrics about the Californian earthquake the guitarist experienced.
