If you really want to go wild, there’s the . This is a little more expensive, but offers a lot more functions as well as handsfree Alexa voice control, so it’s a very capable device.

Amazon’s Fire TV Sticks all run on Fire OS, so they look and behave in the same way, offering access to loads of streaming services like Netflix, Apple TV+, and more. They also offer full Alexa control via the remote, so you’ll be able to search using your voice, as well as accessing all of Alexa’s other skills.

That means you’ll be able to control your connected smart home devices, which on the top models includes viewing smart home camera right there on your TV, as well as asking questions. The device is quick and easy to install on your TV, making your dumb TV smart, or a quick way to get access to the latest apps.

Amazon’s Fire TV Stick is a popular choice for streamers, but it’s not perfect. Firstly, you’ll need an Amazon account to use it and some people don’t like that Amazon’s content gets a fairly high billing in the user interface. It can also show adverts, which some people don’t like.
