has been criticised by a royal expert after she published a new video of herself on this week.

Returning to social media for the first time in weeks, the Duchess of Sussex, 43, could be seen talking to her phone camera about how she had helped who had lost her home in the recent Californian wildfires.

In the selfie-mode video, Meghan told fans how she managed to get a message across through Adam Levine to Billie Eilish, who then sent some signed merchandise to Meghan to give to the teenager.

While many of Meghan’s fans have praised the duchess for organising this kind gesture, one royal expert thinks the video where Meghan shares this information is “rehearsed” rather than natural.

Despite the fact the duchess has taken the video in a style which looks impromptu, with Meghan appearing make-up free, the editor at large of the Mail on Sunday Charlotte Griffiths believes it is not as natural as it comes across on first look.

Charlotte said while the duchess is make-up free, it looks like her hair has been done and certain shots have been retaken.

Charlotte said on the podcast: “She just comes across like she’s acting.

“The angles are very carefully managed. If it was really off the cuff, informal, and she just found this load of Billie Eilish merch it would have been less rehearsed.

“You could tell it had been rehearsed.”
