Since the news of the upcoming royal tour was announced, the King’s former royal butler Grant Harrold has praised the monarch, who he served between 2004 and 2011 when he was the Prince of Wales.

Grant said the King was a “great example” for those battling illness. He said :”From my contacts, if I can say that, from my previous time with the King, they have all said that he’s doing really well.

“He’s very positive, obviously, and like so many other people that are kind of battling not just cancer, so many awful diseases, the amazing thing is that they have this resilience just to carry on.

“And that’s what he’s very much doing. He’s a great example.”
