GOP Congressman Apparently Forgot To Clean Face Before Going On Fox News

Montana Rep. Ryan Zinke (R) went on Fox News Friday morning to discuss budget negotiations, but no one seemed to pay attention to his words.

Instead, many people were focused on his face, particularly the conservative Republican’s philtrum, the vertical groove between the base of the nose and the upper lip.

As you can see from the clip below, the center of Zinke’s face has a white dot that many people assumed was shaving cream, but could theoretically be toilet paper covering up a cut.

Zinke’s messy mug went viral, with many people wondering how either network employees or his own staffers missed the spot on his face.

HuffPost reached out to Zinke’s office for comment, but no one immediately responded.

However, people on social media had thoughts and theories about how no one caught the spot on Zinke’s face before he went on air.

Some people assumed that either his underlings or Fox News staffers just don’t like him that much.

Others joked the patch was a deliberate style choice.

One person said it was possible that Fox News employees deliberately wanted Zinke to look bad to viewers, but also suggested he deliberately added the white patch “because it has meaning for him and his fellow cultists!”
