Fans On Street Try To Sing A Nonexistent Super Bowl Song For ‘Tonight Show’

The “Tonight Show” sent one of its writers, Dion Flynn, out into the streets to get passersby to help him sing the so-called “Super Bowl Song.” (Watch the video below.)

“But here’s the catch,” host Jimmy Fallon told the studio audience on Thursday’s episode. “There is no Super Bowl song. He’s just making up the lyrics as he goes along.”

One woman was truly ashamed she didn’t know the words to the nonexistent anthem. But many people in the segment gladly riffed in their own words.

A crowdsourced hit might be in the making if you like the Kansas City Chiefs and one very high-profile fan.

“Travis Kelce is the reason we wanna watch,” Flynn sang.

“’Cause we want to see Taylor Swift in her box,” a woman sang back to finish the verse.

“Taylor Swift’s boyfriend looks like Sasquatch,” Flynn continued.

“I don’t agree, I think he looks hot,” the woman sang back.

Another person stripped the game down to even more basic elements.

“Throwing a football down the field,” the “Tonight Show” staffer sang.

“Tackling other boys in tight pants,” his random collaborator growled back.

The Chiefs will try to beat the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday for an unprecedented third straight Super Bowl title. No big game song necessary.

Fast-forward to 5:30 for the Super Bowl song segment:
