Meghan Markle has had many nicknames given to her since marrying Prince Harry.

Markle was also dubbed “Duchess of Difficult” for making unreasonable demands on her staff.

The claims were made in the coming book Yes Ma’am: The Secret Life of Royal Servants by royal author Tom Quinn, who spoke to former and retired workers from inside the palace.

Aides also became concerned that Meghan had transformed Prince Harry into a “tree-hugging leftie” who rejected the “values and traditions of his family,” according to an extract published in the Times.

Older staff members thought Meghan was “Mrs. Simpson come back to haunt us,” in reference to Harry’s great-great uncle Edward VIII’s wife, Wallis Simpson, who abdicated the throne to marry the American divorcee.

One former staffer noted that Harry grew to become “far more concerned about social issues and the rights of minorities than he’d ever been before Meghan’s arrival” — which is something younger staff at Kensington Palace applauded but not the more mature workers.

The “Mystic Meg” nickname referred to a late astrologer popular in the ‘90s, and the former actress’ upbringing by yoga instructor mom Doria Ragland, who has been described as a “hippie” in the past, didn’t help.

The book also recalled the “Duchess of Difficult” label, but noted some staff actually enjoyed Meghan’s personality.

The author noted that palace staffers were split into those who were “for Meghan” and those who were “against” her, causing the workplace to become one of “swirling rumour, gossip and backbiting.”

One of Queen’s Elizabeth’s former courtiers recalled how the Royal Family became concerned that Meghan’s plans for her life as a working royal were not part of the approved program, according to the book.

Meghan’s desire to do her own thing would never allow her to outshine the Queen, then-Prince Charles or Princess Anne, the ex-aide claimed, and the American was instructed that you do as you are told, and not whatever you please.
