A woman has left the online community flabbergasted after she shared an “awesome” tip for the stubborn

Stains on clothes can be tricky, but with the right techniques and stain removers, you can restore your clothes to their original condition.

However, a home hacks expert has shared an easy way to eliminate stains using items that you probably already have in your house.

Leanne Neiland, who spends her time teaching others how to clean and organise their homes, claims she can eliminate makeup stains and sweat marks from her clothes in just seconds.

Sharing the tips on her page , the expert revealed that she uses hairspray to banish stains left behind from lipstick or face makeup.

She said: “Hairspray can help remove makeup stains from clothing due to its solvent properties – ethanol, acetone, or glycerin – and ability to break down oils.”

The cleaning expert also suggested pouring lemon juice onto your t-shirts or sports gear to get rid of “pesky yellowish” stains left behind from sweat.

She added: “Lemon juice can help remove pit stains due to its acidity.

“This acidity helps break down and dissolve the alkaline compounds that cause pit stains.”

She cautioned that lemon juice should be used on white clothing, and not colours.

She suggested spraying hairspray or lemon juice directly onto the stained area of the clothing. Hairspray contains alcohol, which helps break down makeup or ink stains. Lemon juice has natural bleaching properties, making it useful for sweat stains and discoloration.

Once it is done, leave the treated area for about an hour to allow the solution to break down the stain. Next, place the clothing directly into the washing machine and then run it on a regular wash cycle.

A large number of people quickly flocked to the comment section after observing the results.

One user commented: “Wow, this is a lifesaver.”

Another one said: “This is awesome.”
