Queen frontman has attacked the Labour Government in a scathing rant on social media over badger culling. The guitarist took to to aim at , claiming he ‘promised to end the badger cull.’
He wrote, “Many of you will have seen this great picture, which has worthily won a national photographic competition. But it’s much more than a lovely photograph. It’s a message. And, of course, I want to post and comment to amplify the message that Ian Wood, the photographer, has transmitted” (please swipe). [sic]
“The disgusting killing of badgers goes on. Those of us who have been doggedly trying to save both the badgers and the cows for over 10 years now know the truth – that the awful killing has failed utterly to help farmers combat bovine TB.
“Don’t be misled by the present Government’s claim to be stopping the cull. Before becoming Prime Minister, Kier Starmer promised to end the badger cull. But his ministers have not only allowed existing cull licenses to continue but have actually granted new licenses for new culls.
“It’s an utter betrayal. Our documentary “Brian May: The Badgers, the Farmers and Me” is changing hearts and minds among many farmers, who now increasingly realize that the present government strategy is actually the cause of them still being in severe difficulties with bovine TB in their cattle.”

He concluded: “The truth will prevail in the end, as our Gatcombe methods will be proved to solve the problem. But in the meantime, our magnificent British badgers are being driven into extinction. THANK YOU IAN for drawing attention to this hideous injustice. Bri.”
Many of his followers flocked to the comments section to give him words of support. One fan said: “I love this image, the art and the message. It’s brilliant.”
A second chimed in: “We will always wholeheartedly respect and support you in your fight!” A third typed: “I wish you great good luck to win this fight. Change comes from the grassroots, and eventually, the politicians take note.”

In recent news, Sir Brian May’s health scare has taken a positive turn, with his wife, Anita Dobson, revealing that the Queen guitarist’s condition has “stabilized” after a “scary” stroke.
The rock legend, 77, experienced a sudden loss of control in his left arm last September, prompting an urgent hospital dash.
“He’s much better now, he’s stabilised now, which is brilliant,” Anita, 75, shared with fans. “I just hope we don’t have any more reoccurrences. He’s got the use of that arm, which was a bit of a challenge, back now. So, yeah, he’s good to go now. He’s playing the piano quite a lot in the house. He likes a lot of Beethoven. I love it – the piano in the house is really, just very relaxing.”
