Prince William reportedly once made a “savage” joke about “inappropriate outfit”.
The Princess of Wales is often hailed as a “fashion icon”, but before she became a senior member of the Royal Family, she was still finding her fashion footing.
According to one of advisers, Kate was yet to realise you have to “dress carefully” before stepping out in public. On one occasion it led to a brutal joke from her husband.
Speaking to The Times, the adviser shared: “Before Kate realised that as a senior royal you have to dress carefully, having taken advice, she once bought an outfit that William considered inappropriate.
“He told Kate she looked as if she’d just run through a charity shop covered in superglue. Everyone thought this was very funny, including, to her credit, Kate.”

It’s said that the Princess of Wales enjoys teasing her husband too. Insiders claim Kate often ribs William about his family.
She reportedly insists that William is beginning to look like his great-great-great-grandfather Edward VII as he ages. His step-mother, Queen Camilla, is reportedly descended from Edward VII’s favourite mistress, reports .
Over the years, William and Kate have often been seen sharing a laugh together. During a visit to an art group in Shepherd’s Bush last year, William joked that Kate was “the arty one” while they were decorating biscuits.
When they announced their engagement in 2010, William and Kate were asked by interviewer Tom Bradby if the rumours of Kate having posters of her prince on her wall were true. The Prince humorously claimed: “It wasn’t just one, it was like 10, 20 [posters].”

Kate quipped back: “He wishes. No, I had the Levi’s guy on my bedroom wall, not a picture of William. Sorry.”
During a visit to a UK military base in Cyprus in December 2018, the couple shared a joke about William’s bad habit. He warned the soldiers: “Keep the pizza off the sofas!” To which his wife jokingly replied: “You’re a nightmare with that”
William and Kate aren’t the only royals known for their sense of humour either. William’s aunt Princess Anne has won legions of fans with her sharp humour.
Anne once bought her brother, King Charles, a toilet seat for Christmas. Former royal press secretary Dickie Arbiter once gave context on why this gift was appropriate for the then-future King
He said: “What is it we used to call the loo? We would call it the throne. You go and sit on the throne. So buying a leather-bound loo seat was really Princess Anne’s way of saying, ‘Here you are, you’ve got your own personal throne’.”
