In November, revealed that with a rare type of benign tumour called a colloid cyst.
Just a month later, she then to remove the “very rare” cyst which affects just three in a million people.
Although the tumour was not cancerous, the presenter told her followers: “It’s quite big, it’s 14mm wide and it needs to come out because if it grows it would be bad. I’m having it removed.”
However, the surgery came with a number of risks, including stroke, epilepsy, and “nicking an artery or a blood vessel in the brain and having a bleed”.
It was a major life-changing decision for Davina as brain tumours have plagued her family, and during a charity event for Brain Tumour Research Campaign, she revealed: “I lost my sister to a brain tumour in 2012, and my ex-father-in-law a year ago.”

Now on the other side of the successful operation, judge reflected on the turmoil the tumour caused in her life and the effect it had on her relationships.
On a recent episode of her podcast, Begin Again, Davina was joined by her pal and star Steven Bartlett who asked how her relationship with her boyfriend, Michael Douglas is different now.
The TV star shared: “What’s been interesting is that I think it has been the most testing time for him ever to see me, who is normally in control of everything.
“Beforehand, with the fear and everything, it brought us really, really, really close together, but I think the first month for him in the hospital was so painful and difficult and hard.”

She added: “That WhatsApp group was his therapy, his saving grace. I don’t know what he would’ve done without it.
Davina then recalled the moment in her recovery when Michael was certain he had “lost” her.
The 57-year-old said: “I came out, and I think I was in intensive care for two or three days … I cried a lot when I saw him, and I remember telling him that when I went to sleep with the anaesthetist, I went to sleep saying my intention that I set.
“And I could remember that, but then I went ‘we’ve just got to get back from America because I need to have an operation,’ and he was like ‘What has happened here?’”
Davina added: “I’m not sure he fully understood at the beginning that was the short-term memory loss and eventually he did manage to talk to somebody.”
