Netflix viewers ‘can’t wait to binge’ Celebrity Bear Hunt after ‘mad’ first episode

Netflix has unleashed a new competition series that’s got viewers on the edge of their seats, following the phenomenal success of Squid Game’s second season.

Enter Bear Grylls’ latest adventure, Celebrity Bear Hunt, which pits 12 celebrities against the wilds of the Costa Rican jungle and, more terrifyingly, Bear Grylls himself who is on a mission to track them down.

The show throws these well-known personalities into the thick of nature’s challenges, forcing them to coexist for a gruelling two and a half weeks while trying to evade the ominous ‘Bear Pit’ a fate worse than any jungle critter, leading to their elimination.

With the series premiere dropping on today (February 5), social media has been abuzz with fans sharing their hot takes. One user raved: “First episode was mad! So excited to binge watch the rest of the season as soon as I can.”

Another eager viewer posted: “I’ve watched the whole thing today, it was very enjoyable,” adding a flame emoji for emphasis, reports .

And yet another fan couldn’t contain their excitement: “What an incredible and intriguing concept! I’m absolutely thrilled and can’t wait to see more episodes.”

Among the stars braving the jungle are Spice Girl Mel B, tennis icon Boris Becker, design guru Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen, broadcaster Steph McGovern, and ex-rugby star Danny Cipriani.

Also vying to stay in the competition are judge Shirley Ballas, rapper Big Zuu, The Saturdays star Una Healy and The Inbetweeners actor Joe Thomas.

Completing the line-up are model Lottie Moss, actor Kola Bokinni and fashion model Leomie Anderson, with Holly Willoughby taking on the role of presenter for the grand show.

The show was shot last year in the Costa Rican jungle in Central America, where the celebrities had to endure the weather and all the terrifying elements of the jungle from animals to bugs. The jungle is a thick forest with numerous trees growing closely together and leafy vines linking them.

It’s also teeming with animals that have the freedom to wander around, and often the sounds of the animals singing, chattering and calling to each other can be heard.
