A gesture used by Prince Harry could indicate that he’s “anxious” around , a body language expert has claimed.

Inbaal Honigman recently pointed out that the can be spotted holding his wife elbow or guiding her from behind in a number of photos.

She claimed this is demonstrating her “dominance” in the , and although Inbaal conceded that it’s a “very subtle” gesture, walking in front leaves Harry with little option but to follow.

Inbaal told Woman magazine: “It’s a very subtle dominant gesture, as it isn’t aggressive or flashy, but walking ahead is still domineering because it doesn’t leave the other person much choice; they have got to fall behind.”

She said the Duke’s behaviour indicates that he’s “checking in” with his wife, something that the expert described as a “soothing” gesture.

Yet, Inbaal went on to say that there remains an “anxious aspect” to the way in which Harry holds Meghan, adding that it appears to be “reassuring” for both of them.

She added: “The prince’s hand reaches out to hold on to his wife’s elbow even when he’s acknowledging other people. This tells us that the move isn’t a conscious decision on his part, rather an instinctive move which makes him feel safe.”

It follows recent rumours that the couple were planning to separate, a claim that was quashed by Harry at the 2024 New York Times DealBook Summit late last year.

He also rejected the notion that he and Meghan had split up and moved , saying: “Apparently we’ve bought or moved house 10, 12 times. We’ve apparently divorced maybe 10, 12 times as well. So it’s just like, what?”

It’s previously been reported that the rumour began after the couple started attending more engagements by themselves, but a source told that they always planned to strike out with solo ventures.

Last month, it was revealed that was “devastated” by claims made in a piece that she had been planning to write a book post-divorce.

The publication said her team had allegedly been in discussion with a publisher to “gauge interest”, but “no offer was ever made”, adding that the couple are “deeply in love”.

However, as reported by an insider close to Meghan revealed: “Meghan was devastated when she saw all of these reports about a ‘post-divorce’ book coming out.”

They said Meghan understands there’s “no truth to them” and finds it “upsetting” to be persistently surrounded by negativity, adding that she’s “sick and tired” of the separation rumours.
