star Tom Malone Senior left fans worried as he shared a snap on social media from a hospital bed while wearing a gown after being admitted to A&E with a mystery injury.
The reality star took to on Monday evening (February 3) to share the photograph which showed him laying in a bed with his head propped up by a pillow.
Although his injury wasn’t clearly visible he appeared to have his arm in a sling and although he was in a medical gown his injured arm and shoulder were uncovered.
A large bandage could be seen strapped into place over his shoulder, and he was looking down at his injury.
Despite his situation he appeared in good spirits as he posted: “Woke up with a nappy as a dressing, was caught off guard when the nurse said she had to change my nappy! Grateful to our NHS, top notch care Thank you, home now!”

Fans immediately flooded the comments with their concerns and well wishes for the star. “Oh no!!! Hope you are ok? Glad you are home now though looking forward to seeing you all back on gogglebox wishing you a good recovery,” one wrote.
“Oh gosh what on earth have you been up to, get well soon,” another commented. A third chimed in: “Our NHS is amazing, wish you a speedy recovery.”
A fourth added: “So sorry hear u been poorly prays really thinking of you and your family feel better soon take care.”
“Get well soon Tom I’m sure Julie and the kids will take good care of you,” a fifth observed. Meanwhile a sixth gushed: “Ah get well soon. Look forward when your well enough and will be back on our screens soon.”

While some of his followers seemed surprised by the hospital’s choice of dressing nappys they are actually commonly used following certain shoulder procedures.
Although Tom didn’t specify what he was treated for, shoulder procedures that use a nappy as a dressing, include shoulder arthroscopy and rotator cuff repair surgery. The nappy is used to absorb fluid leakage from the wound.
Tom and his family have been a feature on Gogglebox since season four of the show in 2014 and their appearances have turned them into celebrities.
Son Tom Malone Jr quit the show in 2020, but Tom Snr, his wife Julie and son Shaun still appear on the show offering their views on the weeks telly.
