‘ left his co-star Ellie Costello stunned as he issued a brutal verdict on ‘ new photography of ‘s in support of World Cancer Day.

The presenters were joined by former politicians Jonathan Ashworth and Anna Firth to discuss the topic, Eamonn stated: “Ellie, like most people will be very supportive of it and say it’s lovely and everything else.

“But I think that’s hideous,” as everyone gasped, he continued: “It’s absolutely hideous, I think it’s scary.”

As Ellie exclaimed: “What!” Anna asked: “You don’t like that photo do you?”

After the 65-year-old added: “It’s like from a ghost film. What’s inspirational about that?” His co-host hit back: “She looks like she’s celebrating,” to which Eamonn interjected: “She looks like she’s nailed to a cross.”

Following the groans of shock, Anna defended the Royal and said: “She standing on a tree that fallen down, she’s on top of it and she’s standing there, she’s stoic, she still going, she’s joyfully in her recovery and remission.”

However, Eamonn wasn’t having it, after clarifying that Kate was standing on a “dead tree,” he repeated: “What is inspirational about that?”

The broadcaster continued: “Well I’m just saying because I know no one else will say it, I think it’s a hideous-looking picture.”

Anna explained: “That may not be the best view of it because when you see it online, it’s a beautifully wintery morning. We’ve all gone out with our kids and walked along logs, and she’s holding out her arms to embrace everybody who’s had cancer.”

Ashworth echoed: “I agree; I think it a fabulous image, and of course, it’s taken by Prince Louis, who is six,” and despite this, Eamonn chuckled as he added: “I don’t think he’s got an eye for photography.”

Kensington Palace shared the photographs across their social media platforms ahead of World Cancer Day on Tuesday (January 4). The images featured Kate and were captioned: “Don’t forget to nurture all that which lies beyond the disease.”

This comes as Kate continues her gradual return to royal duties following her gruelling cancer treatment last summer.

Although she carried out Royal engagements last week, she emphasised that her immediate priority remains focused on her young family.”
