BBC One’s Silent Witness is back with the final two-part instalment of the season, featuring a gripping storyline where six individuals lose their lives in a shooting at a Syrian pizza restaurant. The onus falls on Nikki Alexander (Emilia Fox) and Jack Hodgson (David Caves) to swiftly apprehend the perpetrator before they can wreak further havoc.
A breakthrough comes when CCTV footage helps identify a suspect, who is later found dead, allegedly by suicide, using the same distinctive bullets from the attack. The first part of this thrilling narrative airs tonight, February 3, with the season finale following on February 4 at 9pm.
The regular cast members will be returning, including new additions Harriet (Maggie Steed) and Kit (Francesca Mills). Amidst solving yet another perplexing case, Nikki finds herself preoccupied with browsing wedding dresses.
Unfortunately for both Nikki and Jack, their demanding jobs leave little room for planning such a significant occasion.

DI Ivor Strong – Karl Collins
DI Ivor Strong is portrayed by Karl Collins, a 54 year old actor renowned for his roles as Danny Glaze in The Bill and Louis Loveday in Hollyoaks. Audiences might also recognise him as Shaun Temple in Doctor Who or Jack Whiteley in Magpie Murders.
His brother, Johann Myers, is also an actor.
Calvin – Joe Absolom
Calvin is played by Joe Absolom, a 46 year old actor celebrated for his role as Matthew Rose in . He has also starred as Al Large in Doc Martin and depicted real-life murderer Christopher Halliwell in the drama A Confession.
The star is happily married to Liz Brown and they share three children.
Alex – Robert Lonsdale
Robert Lonsdale, known for his role as Alex, is a 41 year old actor and musician with credits in and Chewing Gum. He’s primarily recognised for his theatre work but recently appeared in an episode of Call the Midwife.
Bobby – Matthew Aubrey

DS Leslie Davies is portrayed by Adeyinka Akinrinade, who recently played Chantelle in Champion and Alesha Richards in Riches. She has also made guest appearances in Grantchester, A Discovery of Witches and Top Boy.

Peggy – Amy Nuttall
Amy Nuttall, a 42 year old actress and singer known for her role as Peggy, is recognised for playing Chloe Atkinson in and Ethel Parks in Downton Abbey. She shares two children and was married to actor Andrew Buchan until 2022.
She previously dated fellow cast member Ben Freeman for four years.
Dawn – Seosaimhin Hennelly
Seosaimhin Hennelly, a child actress who portrays Dawn, has previously starred in Insomnia and Casualty. She is currently working on several new projects including Frostlands and My Sister’s Bones.

Akram Rahul is brought to life by 43 year old actor Stephen Uppal, best known for his role as Ravi Roy in Hollyoaks. His acting credits also include Freight and The History Boys.
Thief – Darcy Wallace
Darcy Wallace, whose background remains largely unknown, takes on the role of a thief, potentially marking their acting debut.
Young Teacher – Penny Morris
Penny Morris is an Irish actress with a strong theatre background. This could be her first venture into television.
