is gearing up for a major royal reunion at the 2025 Invictus Games later this week.
Although his own royal relatives are not expected to be in attendance, Harry is set to be joined by some of the Danish royals – such as Prince Joachim of Denmark and his wife, Princess Marie.
Harry, who is expected to be joined by , will kick off this year’s Invictus Games in both Vancouver and Whistler in Canada on February 8.
The Danish Royal House confirmed Joachim – who is fifth in line to the Danish throne – and Marie’s attendance last week. Joachim is the younger brother of King Frederik of Denmark.
As reported by the , Harry last crossed paths with Joachim in 2017. The pair both visited a military training centre together in the Danish capital of Copenhagen.

Much like Harry, Joachim has also experienced drama with his own family. In 2022, his mother, the former Queen Margrethe, decided that his children would be stripped of their prince and princess titles.
Also like Harry and Meghan, Joachim, Marie and their children now reside in the US.
The opening ceremony on Saturday is set to be a star-studded event, with the likes of Coldplay and Katy Perry performing.
Although it remains unclear whether they will be at the events in Canada, one insider recently shared that .

According to a well-placed source, Harry and Meghan are both hoping that the Games are something that Prince Archie, five, and Princess Lilibet, three, will want to “continue once they get older.”
Originally planned as a solo trip for the Duke of Sussex, Meghan is expected to attend the Invictus Games opening ceremony at BC Place Vancouver.
As well as the usual sports that feature at each event, including indoor rowing, sitting volleyball, swimming, wheelchair rugby and wheelchair basketball, new winter sports will also be introduced at this year’s Games.
