A woman has been praised for sharing her budget-friendly hack to her oven only using things she has around her house. Shan, who is known as @we-built-our-home on , has shown what she uses to deep clean her oven, saying it makes such a “satisfying” difference.
Starting her video, she shows before shots of her oven – making note of the food burnt at the bottom and the greasy glass door. She says: “Bake some lemon in water for 15 to 20 minutes to steam the oven and loosen up the grime. She then mixes up a “magic cleaning potion” made up of two cups of warm water, one cup of white vinegar, 1/2 cup washing up liquid, and an optional 1/4 cup bicarbonate of soda.
After removing everything from the oven and waiting for it to cool, she pours the solution in and leaves it to work its “magic” for five to 10 minutes. She adds: “Scrub with all the tools you own and like your life depends on it. More bicarbonate of soda and lemon to get those tough bits of grime off. Scrub the pre-sprayed (with portion) or ideally soaked trays. Looks so good again.”
