Meghan Markle was defended by her best friend Abigail Spencer
‘s close pal Abigail Spencer has amid the , describing her as “the most glorious human being”.

US magazine Vanity Fair published a damning cover story about the duchess last month, in which it claimed that former members of staff, who used to work with Meghan when her deal with Spotify was on, had to allegedly take “breaks from work to escape scrutiny”, leave their job altogether or undergo “long-term therapy”.
The Sussex couple have declined to comment on the latest claims, but sources close to them told the Times they find them”distressing”.
Ms Spencer, who also starred alongside Meghan in the legal drama Suits, attended the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women Red Dress Collection Concert last week and hit back at the latest criticism about her friend.

Speaking to at the event, the actress said it’s not easy to read the negative press about the duchess but insisted that people should “get behind her and support her”.
She said: “It’s very painful as a friend.
“But she is the most glorious human being on the planet, and so we just have to get behind her and support her.”
She also revealed that the public are going to get an “authentic, very cool, very lovely insight” into who Meghan really is as a person in her new show, With Love, Meghan, where she also features as one of the guests.
The new lifestyle series is set to be released on March 4 and will consist of eight episodes and will see the former actress share cooking, gardening and hosting tips.

Meghan’s show will feature various guests and friends of the duchess, including her husband, , Mindy Kaling, Daniel Martin and Ms Spencer.
The actress said: “What I love about it is, you know, Meghan is one of my best friends, and I feel like the whole world is going to see, like, an authentic, very cool, very lovely insight into who she actually is as a person.
“You’re also going to learn a lot! I’ve learned a lot from her myself.”
She also confessed the duchess “taught” her how to cook, saying: “Oh my God, I don’t know how to cook. You’ll see on the show, she teaches me.”
