cheeky antics were on full display once again before defeat to . The striker was caught on camera making comments about the linesman in the tunnel.

The 38-year-old, who started the game leading the line for Ruud van Nistelrooy’s strugglers, was captured on video making a comment about assistant referee Craig Taylor.

Just minutes before the players emerged out onto the pitch at Goodison Park, Vardy could be seen sharing a conversation with referee Darren Bond.

In a humorous exchange with the experienced referee, Vardy appeared to single out Taylor as he walked past them in the tunnel and claimed he had ‘fallen out’ with the official after mocking his appearance.

“He’s f***ing fell out with me already,” Vardy said to Bond, while grinning.

The referee then asked the former international: “Why? What’s he done? What have you p***ed him off for?”

Vardy replied: “I just said how misty he is and how he looks like he’s on a f***ing building site.”

After being told “we don’t get a choice” – seemingly levelling a joke at Taylor’s appointment for the game – the Leicester captain made another remark.

“F***ing n***e. Looks like the one that trained him innit?” Vardy said, before the players shook hands and walked out onto the pitch.

Vardy certainly wasn’t smiling by the final whistle, however, after failing to find the net as the Foxes were outsmarted by side in a 4-0 thumping.

Abdoulaye Doucoure scored inside the first 19 seconds before Beto made it 2-0 with six minutes on the clock.

The Portuguese striker then grabbed his second of the day in first-half stoppage time before Iliman Ndiaye capped a dominant performance from the hosts.

Vardy has scored seven times in 23 appearances for Leicester this season, but the veteran frontman endured a day to forget and was withdrawn on the hour mark to make way for Patson Daka.

It could have been even worse for Leicester after Beto was denied what looked to be a clear penalty in the first half when the Toffees led 2-0.

Speaking on Match of the Day, presenter and Shay Given both felt the Everton striker was wiped out by Jannik Vestergaard. However, Bond did not point to the spot.

“I think this was a little bit lucky, Leicester might have gotten away with one there. But Beto was really strong,” said Given.

Lineker – who played for both clubs during his career – added: “I would say so, yes.”
