The Masked Singer UK star Grayson Perry has spilled the beans on his accidental reveal after a friend caught on to his secret identity.
The celebrated British artist was unmasked as Kingfisher on the show’s latest (February 1) episode, following the audience’s vote that led to his departure.
Post-elimination, Grayson graced the This Morning set on Monday (February 3), where he opened up about his stint on the popular ITV singing contest.
He shared with presenters Cat Deeley and that his daughter had sussed him out after her girlfriend stumbled upon a clip of his performance during a late-night scroll, recognising the voice from karaoke sessions.
“A couple of people, my wife knew, my sister knew. My daughter guessed because her girlfriend in the middle of the night was scrolling and came across it, she knew from karaoke whose voice that was,” Grayson revealed, reports .

Cat highlighted Grayson’s impressive run on the show, outlasting professional vocalists like Macy Gray and Carol Decker of T’Pau fame.
“You must be proud,” she remarked, prompting Grayson to respond: “I am, but I’m also under no illusion that it’s a singing contest.”
The revelation of Grayson as Kingfisher left viewers gobsmacked, especially those who were convinced that comedian Harry Hill was behind the mask.
“I was playing that up massively because I know Harry Hill. I was playing, it’s fun, it’s a game! I thought I’d play the role of being a TV comedian!” Grayson confessed following his reveal.
