Channel 4 is launching a new show about immigration
issued a stern warning as six participants signed up to a new series, exploring the world of immigration. Go Back to Where You Came From will see six highly-opinionated people come together attempt migrant routes for themselves.
The four-part series will immerse six Britons with strong views on into the lives of refugees and migrants as it premieres tonight (February 3).
The group, including a TikToker and commentator, will start their journey in Mogadishu in Somalia and Raqqa in Syria, before traversing perilous migrant routes through Africa, the Middle East and Europe to the UK.
They are set to witness nearby missile strikes and the mass overcrowding of camps. They will be trekking through an African desert, climb over border crossings through mountain ranges and experience first-hand some of the terror of small boat crossings.
According to a source, participants faced “constant filming” and it was “dangerous” enough to require “armed security”.
The new series will see outspoken Brits attempt migrant routes to the UK
The source told Express.co.uk: “Filming was constant for four weeks minimum and participants would not be allowed to leave filming at any point – not even for a couple of days.
“Producers told me that participants would be experience the life of an immigrant and would also meet with immigrants in Africa, Asia and Europe trying to get to the UK.
“This would include going on a dingy across the channel, going to illegal camps, and arguing with other participants with opposing views.

“They said the show will be dangerous in parts and we will likely have armed security in some of the really bad areas.”
Speaking about appearing on the Channel 4 show, chef Dave Marshall told Nottinghamshire Live: “It’s a very taboo and difficult subject to talk about. Once you start talking about it you’re either labelled as racist or a left-wing loony depending on what your views are.
“It doesn’t mean you’re wrong and I’m right, you’ve just got different views. I can’t say too much yet but I can say I had views and a lot of views were tested – it opened my eyes.”
