The BBC will be missing a trick if they don’t put Laura Robson front and centre of their coverage this summer.

Robson was exceptional again on punditry duty for Eurosport at the and she is becoming one of our nation’s best broadcasters.

She is warm, empathetic and knowledgeable – the perfect mix for our home Grand Slam.

Robson isn’t afraid to be vulnerable and show her human side, which resonates with viewers more than the standard analysts.

She wept as good friend Madison Keys won the title in Melbourne and has a knack of making her interviewees feel at ease.

But it’s not just about emotions. Still just 31 years old, she has a good rapport with most of the players on both the men’s and women’s tours to give that extra insight.

Robson has been restricted to mainly radio duty during previous Wimbledons. Sky Sports and Eurosport have realised Robson’s TV potential – now it’s time for the .
