Kate, Princess of Wales, sent a message of support to the English rugby team as they are to debut at this year’s Six Nations tournament.

In a heartfelt message shared on X, Kate wrote: “Good luck to Steve, Maro and everyone involved with @englandrugby for your opening game of @sixnationsrugby against Ireland.”

To stress the message had come from her, the post was signed off with her initial, C.

This afternoon, England is facing Ireland in its first Six Nations match this year.

This message comes just a few hours after wished good luck to the Wales rugby team.

He wrote on Friday evening: “Wishing @WelshRugbyUnion the very best of luck tonight against France, and throughout @SixNationsRugby! Amdani! W!

The Prince and Princess of Wales are renowned for their competitive nature and there’s likely to be a bit of friendly rivalry in the Prince and Princess of Wales’ household in the coming weeks during the Six Nations.

Kate became patron of England’s Rugby Football Union and the Rugby Football League in 2022. On the other hand, William became patron of the WRU in 2016, taking over from Queen Elizabeth II.

There is doubt William and Kate, who are avid sports fans, will be keeping a close eye on the respective teams as the tournament progresses.
