Olympian Gabby Thomas Claims She’s Being Stalked While Traveling

Three-time Olympic gold medalist Gabby Thomas revealed that she fears she’s being stalked and “genuinely” doesn’t know what to do about it.

In a video shared to TikTok on Wednesday, the track and field athlete expressed her recent frustrations with travel, as she fears that “three to six middle-aged men” will show up and “harass” her.

“It doesn’t matter what city,” Thomas revealed. She went on to say that she’s been accosted by these men in various cities, including Chicago, Illinois, and Miami, Florida. She guessed they must be tracking her or have some way of following her through security.

“They have my flight information,” Thomas said. “They show up either at the front door of the airport at the correct concourse or they show up at my gate.”

Thomas went on to say that these men have approached her numerous times.

“They show up, and they ask me to sign a bunch of these photos, and pictures of me, like 40 of them,” she said. “I don’t know what they’re doing with them.”

The Olympian added that the men seem to know when and where she’s flying, even when she doesn’t even know her flight schedule herself.

“I don’t know if they’re hacking me, but they get really aggressive and hostile if I say no,” she added.

She also said the men got “really aggressive” recently with her boyfriend, Yale University football player Spencer McManes.

“When I ask them how they know my flight information, they lie,” she said. She explained that the men fabricate stories that don’t make logical sense and become irrationally angry when she refuses their advances.

She shared that she doesn’t like “feeling unsafe” while traveling and expressed her frustration at people not knowing how to “respect privacy.”

Other female athletes, including gymnasts Simone Biles and Sunisa Lee, and tennis player Coco Gauff, shared similar experiences in the comment section of Thomas’ video.

“No same, I’m horrified of them,” wrote Biles, adding it “happens too often.” She went on to say she has resorted to taking photos of the aggressors “just in case.”

Gauff shared a theory, believing that “maybe someone at the airport tips them off.” Lee mentioned that it’s happened to her “multiple times,” and described the situation as “scary.”
