Ratcliffe has prompted controversy with several decisions, including approving 250 staff redundancies, curbing funding to the MU Foundation, and raising member ticket prices to £66.
Rashford reportedly believes that he is also being targeted as part of the plan to slash United’s expenses. Only midfielder Casemiro is believed to earn more at the club, having penned a £350,000-per-week deal when he joined from Real Madrid in 2022.
Last week, Amorim accused Rashford of not working hard enough during training. The United boss, who is nearly four months into the job, even ahead of the struggling striker.
Rashford’s camp have reportedly insisted that he is working hard. There have even been suggestions that he would be willing to play for the Red Devils before completing an exit.

“Imagine a talent like Rashford, our team should be so much better with him – but he has to change,” Amorim said on Wednesday.
“If he changes, we are more than welcome [to include him] – and we need it. But in this moment we have to set some standards. We are waiting for Rashford, if he wants it really bad.
“You want to make it personal, I have nothing against Marcus, but I have to make the same rules for everybody. We need goals, we need [players who can go] one against one, we need threat in the final third.”
