Will Ferrell has an objection to this one particular wedding practice.
While chatting with BuzzFeed UK on the promotional tour for his new comedy “You’re Cordially Invited,” which co-stars Reese Witherspoon, Ferrell was asked about one wedding tradition he’d ban for good.
“Cash bars,” the actor said confidently in a clip published Thursday. Both he and Witherspoon immediately agreed that the act was “rude” and in “really poor taste.”
The comedian then recalled a wedding where “they ran out of food,” an unthinkable circumstance Witherspoon called “really bad.” The “Elf” star agreed and said it’s a real “no-no” when it happens.
Ferrell’s wedding gripes don’t stop there. Ferrell also wants the “Macarena” dance to RSVP “no” to future nuptials.
Ferrell and Witherspoon were also cordially invited on “This Morning” to discuss their film on Thursday. The union of these two actors led Ferrell to reveal a wedding prank that went totally awry.
“I have a friend who asked if I would stand up and object, so I did,” he said. “I stood up, in that moment where they’re like, ‘Does anyone object?’ I said, ‘I do! I love you Carol! Please, take me back!’”

The prank didn’t go quite as planned.
“My friend, the groom, said, ‘This isn’t Carol, it’s Susan,’ and I went, ‘Oh, sorry,’ and I sat back down,” Ferrell said “no one really laughed” except his friend and thus sat back down in embarrassment.
