has just confirmed that the cameras are rolling for the highly-anticipated third series of the explosive thriller Trigger Point.
Reprising her role as bomb disposal expert Lana Washington for the six-part return is none other than critically acclaimed actress Vicky McClure.
Also returning to the adrenaline-packed line-up are cast favourites Eric Shango, Nabil Elouahabi, Natalie Simpson, and Maanuv Thiara. Additionally, ITV has teased viewers with the introduction of guest star Jason Flemyng in the upcoming series.
An ecstatic Vicky shared her enthusiasm for getting back into the action. She commented “Trigger Point is back! We’re all so excited to get going. Having had such a positive response to the previous two series, we want to make this new series even more exciting, keep everyone on the edge of their seats whilst getting to know even more about the brilliant characters in the show.”

She added a personal note on her character’s complexity: “Lana is such a complex character to play, it’s a joy for an actor to play a role with as many layers as Lana.”
With the first season being a runaway success and the second season hauling in an average of 8.1 million viewers, plus a staggering 30 million streams on ITVX, Trigger Point has detonated its way to becoming the network’s second most-viewed drama after Mr Bates vs The Post Office.

This week, Vicky sparked excitement among her followers by sharing a behind-the-scenes glimpse from the set. Donning her uniform and lacing up her boots, she revealed a tantalising hint with a card on the ground teasing “Trigger Point Season Three.”
Her post, brimming with anticipation, was aptly captioned: “LETS GO,” accompanied by an array of explosive emojis.
Fans were quick to react to the sneak peek, expressing their eagerness for the show’s comeback. One viewer said: “Cannot wait to have this back on the telly. Amazing gripping drama.”
