Mukesh Ambani is one of the world’s richest people
The world’s richest property investor is also the owner of the world’s most expensive house.
Mukesh Ambani’s net worth exceeds £50 billion. In October 2024, he was ranked first on Forbes’ list of India’s 100 richest tycoons. He is the ninth richest person in the world.
Ambani chairs and runs Reliance Industries, which has a revenue of £98.36 billion and interests in petrochemicals, oil and gas, telecom, retail, media, and financial services.
He has expanded Reliance into green energy. Over the next 10-15 years, the company will invest in renewable energy and build a new complex next to its refinery.
Ambani has expanded his real estate ventures beyond India, creating opulent residences and cutting-edge commercial spaces.
Antilia is the world’s most expensive house
Through Reliance, Ambani also owns the Indian franchise Mumbai Indians and is the founder of the Indian Super League, a football league in India.
His house is the most expensive in the world with a huge price tag of £3.6 billion. Included in the price is a temple, an ice cream parlour and a six-floor 160-space garage.
DON’T MISS [REPORT]
The 400,000-square-foot palace is towering 27 storeys over downtown Mumbai. Inside are nine lifts, a ballroom, a theatre, a swimming pool and a spa.
Unbelievably, the novelties inside the property continue: There’s even a snow room that spits out snowflakes from the icy walls. Impressively, the Antilia home was nearly used for Christopher Nolan’s hit film, Tenet but due to security measures filming could not take place.
Antilia was built from 2008 to 2010 and cost a huge $2 billion (£1.57 billion). The building overlooks one of India’s poorest areas including a famous poverty-stricken area, the Dharavi slum.
