has shared a worrying health update with fans. Posting to her account, she shared a series of images showing her arm strapped up as she visited the hospital.

The star shared that she had already spent three weeks suffering from “the most painful injury” she had ever experienced, and still had up to nine more weeks of recovery left to go.

On her social media, she shared a lengthy post as she explained what was happening in the images. In the first snap she looked down sadly as her arm was supported by a sling and a brace.

She wrote: “Barry brace and Susie sling – quietly getting on with their job of healing/supporting my arm. I hate them and love them in equal measure. Barry stinks. It’s so hard to keep them clean when you can’t take them off! Wet wipe life.”

The second picture explained the injury that Steph had incurred. The 42-year-old explained: “Mid shaft humeral fracture over the weeks…… when it first happened to where it is now. It’s much more aligned. Still a long way to go, hopefully without surgery.”

Two more images showed NHS workers who had been helping the Channel 4 star. She showed her admiration for them as she shared that her arm was previously “hanging off” and she had suffered a “meltdown”.

A final image showed a collage of Steph in a jumper and sling various times. In one of them she was dressed in a hospital gown.

She penned: “Hospital visits since the fall. I am wearing a lot of jumpers at the moment as they’re the most practical.”

The injury happened when Steph slipped on ice on January 17. Hundreds of comments have been left on the post wishing her a speedy recovery and well as she recovers from the dramatic ordeal.

Another follower said: “That’s looks so painful. Get well soon mate xxx.”

One more added: “I recognise that brace & sling, I did exactly the same break on holiday a couple of years ago. My advice would be as soon as you are out of the sling take pain killers & work with a physio to get movement back.

“Amazing how quickly everything seizes up. I hope you heal quickly x” Steph replied, saying: “Great advice. Glad to hear you’re ok now x”.
