In the 1970s, King Charles’s former flame, dubbed a “bombshell”, would only address him by a particular term during their dating period.

Actress Susan George, known for her roles in ” of 1971 with and 1975’s ‘Mandingo’, shared several “intimate” dinner dates with the then-bachelor Charles.

During this phase, was unattached and allegedly encouraged to “sow his wild oats” by his great-uncle,

He also spent time courting the woman who became , nee Camilla Shand and later Mrs Parker Bowles, as well as the “bombshell” Susan, who stood firm on addressing him as ‘Sir’.

Richard Eden, writing for the Mail, divulged: “She’s the blonde bombshell who caught the eye of King Charles in the 1970s and enjoyed many an intimate dinner with him though she insisted on addressing him as ‘Sir’.”

Susan was not alone in her past with the King, before he married in 1981; the media affectionately referred to his array of romances as “Charlie’s Angels”, as stated by , reports .

The future monarch’s love interests reportedly included Lucia Santa Cruz, Lady Jane Wellesley, Davina Sheffield, Lady Amanda Knatchbull, Sabrina Guinness, and even Diana’s elder sister, Lady Sarah Spencer.

As of 2023, the Mail’s coverage highlighted that Susan George had fondly spoken of the King as her “special individual” amongst friends, while maintaining a public denial about their liaison.

However, she’s not the only actress whose name has been linked with King Charles over the years.
