King Charles set to throw Carole Middleton a party to mark milestone birthday

’s mum is expected to celebrate a special occasion tonight with her nearest and dearest.

Carole Middleton, best known for being the mum of the future Queen, is .

While her plans for tonight are under wraps, it is believed she is likely to be with her closest family members, including her husband Michael Middleton.

However, with 70 being a big milestone, one former royal butler also believes that Carole will celebrate soon with the Royal Family, who are all extremely fond of her.

According to Grant Harrold, who was King Charles’ butler between 2004 and 2011 when he was the Prince of Wales, the King and Queen Camilla could even throw a party for Carole.

Speaking on Mr Harrold said: “As it’s a special birthday, I definitely think the King and Queen will be doing some sort of party for her, maybe in London as they like to mark special occasions.

“And they will usually buy Carole a birthday gift but for her 70th it will be something more special as Carole plays an important role in the Royal Family.

“For the party there will be lots of members of the Royal Family invited as well as the Middletons and obviously William and Kate. But they may also throw her their own party or dinner.”

The suggestion that a royal party could be held for Carole comes after various experts believe Kate’s mum could one day receive a special title for how she has helped the Royal Family over the years, especially as she is the grandmother of Prince George – a future King.

Over the last 12 months, Carole’s actions have been praised more than ever as she has helped the family through Kate’s cancer diagnosis and treatment, which ended in autumn.

The Daily Mail’s Royal Editor Rebecca English said on the publication’s Palace Confidential podcast that she (RVO) in the future, most likely under ’s reign. However, nothing has yet suggested it will happen.

This honour is usually given by the monarch to people who have helped the Royal Family, such as members of the Royal household staff or British ambassadors.

Ms English said: “They could do that. I don’t think we would see that in the King’s lifetime, but possibly William’s.”
