Sergeant JP Hooper – Tobi Bakare
Death In Paradise season 14 episode 1 will welcome back Tobi Bakare as Sergeant JP Hooper with long-time viewers delighted to see Bakare reprising his role.
JP, a mainstay since season four, departed in 2021 after accepting a promotion as the head of the police training programme, necessitating a move to another island.
He made a one-off appearance in season 13, and fans are eagerly anticipating an update on JP’s life in the upcoming episode.

Officer Benjamin Brice – Anthony J Abraham
Newcomer Anthony J Abraham will join the cast as Officer Benjamin Brice in season 14 episode one.
Little information has been revealed about Benjamin so far, and he is currently listed only as a guest star so whether he will continue his journey with the police remains to be seen.
Anthony J Abraham is known for his roles in Jack Whitehall’s Bad Education, Theodosia and The Acolyte on Disney+.
Paulette Brice – Michelle Greenidge
Michelle Greenidge, is going to portray Paulette Brice, who is believed to be a relation of Officer Benjamin Brice.
She has played Valerie in ’s After Life, PC Williams in the comedy-drama Code 404 and Rosa Babtunde in Channel 4’s It’s A Sin.

Damon Clarke is another key character who may be a suspect in the murder of the young man discovered in the ravine.
He is portrayed by actor Mark Holden who has featured in His Dark Materials, A Discovery of Witches, Damaged and The Perfect Escape.
Karlus Brice – Stephen Odubola
Actor Stephen Odubola will be behind Karlus Brice, another relation of new officer Benjamin Brice.
Odubola has previously worked on Blue Story, The Sandman and the cooking drama Boiling Point with Peaky Blinders star Stephen Graham.
