Conor Murray, the Munster and Ireland rugby star, has announced that his autobiography will hit the shelves in September this year. Reach Sport has secured the rights to the book, which will be penned in collaboration with Tommy Conlon, who previously worked on Keith Earls’ award-winning memoir ‘Fight or Flight’.

“I cannot wait for fans – and readers – to discover everything there is to know about what wearing the No.9 jersey has meant to me, how the journey has gone so far – and what comes next,” Murray shared. The 35-year-old veteran scrum-half, who boasts 156 appearances for Munster, 103 Test caps for Ireland, and seven Test outings for the British and Irish Lions, will start from the bench in Ireland’s Six Nations opener against England at the Aviva Stadium this Saturday.

Murray’s illustrious career includes four World Cups, five Six Nations titles, including two Grand Slams, and two URC titles with Munster since his senior debut in 2010. He was also named in the World Rugby Men’s 15 Team of the Decade for 2010-2019.

Reflecting on his journey, the recently married father said: “Playing rugby at the highest level has been the focus of my life for as long as I can remember. I have enjoyed many truly amazing and humbling moments, suffered my share of struggles but also had a career I can always be proud of.”

In his autobiography, Murray shares an intimate perspective on his sporting journey: “All the while, having my family and loved ones on this journey with me through the highs and lows has been very special. I have made friends for life with so many shared experiences that I’ll cherish.”
