Cleaning your house might seem like a never-ending chore. However, one cleaning influencer has shared her simple tips to make sure your house always smells nice with minimal effort.
Carly Wood is a UK-based star with more than 50,000 followers, making videos all about . After becoming known online for her handy tips and tricks, Carly has shared her ultimate to make your home to always smell nice and clean.
“When someone walks into my house and says ‘Oh my god it smells so nice in here’ – that is the biggest compliment for me,” Carly said. “I mean, it beats everything. It’s just the best feeling. It’s like a pat on the back for all of your hard work. Here’s how I keep my house smelling nice.”
The first thing she brought up was her bins saying: “Get them out ASAP, they stink very quickly. Bit of essential oil in your toilet roll – this is an old school one, but it’s very effective and works a treat.
Her next tip was to pour your favourite best-smelling disinfectant in your sink, having blocked it, followed by some boiling water and leaving it to sit for a while. She explained: “That […] is gonna run through your house and make your house smell incredible.”

She also urged people to get a diffuser with a pleasant-smelling diffuser oil to make your house smell even better.
“Then going back to your water [in the sink], once it’s cooled down, because we’re not gonna waste it. Get yourself a couple of cloths and just give everywhere a wipe down.
“As you can see, I wipe down my sofa. I also give it a little spot clean on the way, if there’s any little marks,” she said. “Great little way to keep the cushions fresh in between taking them all off and sticking them in the washing machine.
“And again, it smells amazing, because you’ve chosen your favourite disinfectant, so your whole house is gonna smell insane.”
She went on to use the cloth and the warm water to wipe down everything from her sofa, the sofa table, and dining table along with all the chairs, before finally moving on to the kitchen counters and cupboards.
“And it smells so good,” she said, before moving on to the final step which was to spray all of her curtains with Febreze fabric freshener.
