Trinny Woodall decided to take some money out of her business, Trinny London, in order to ensure her daughter had a place to live in the event she died.

Trinny, 60, said that, having sold her home to start a business, she feared her daughter Lyla Elichaoff, 21, would be left with nowhere to stay.

As a result of this realisation, she told the i in December that she had decided to take money out of the business to buy a flat to make sure her daughter would have a roof over her head if the worst happened.

The former TV presenter admitted: “I still don’t own a home. I sold my previous house to start Trinny London, which I grappled with for a long time. Most people at 60 are trying to pay off their .

“My future is very much vested in Trinny London and I now feel fine about that, but for a while I did think ‘If I died tomorrow Lyla would have no home’.

“I took some money out of the business to put into an account which is enough to buy Lyla a flat, so if something did happen my bases are covered.”

Lyla has previously been commented on her mum’s career, after she was asked whether her show ‘What Not to Where’ would be made today.

The show, hosted by Trinny and Susannah Constantine in the early-2000s, was a major hit for the , but the two hosts’ daughters agreed that it probably wouldn’t be commissioned today because of how they talked to people on the programme.

Speaking alongside Susannah’s daughter Esme Bertelsen, Lyla said Tatler: “I think they would be cancelled if the show was made now. You can’t really speak to people like that any more, and say things like: ‘You’re so ugly.’”

Despite their objections to the show, the pair did admit they had never watched it. They added that it was the reason why their mothers were stopped in the street when they were growing up.

DON’T MISS [REPORT]

Returning to the present day, and after a brief hiatus from the world of business, Trinny has established a foothold with her beauty brand Trinny London. Last year, Trinny earnt a business award for her efforts.

Speaking about that with the i she remarked: “When you’re growing a business, you never learn how to be a CEO. It was actually only two weeks ago when I fully felt I earned my position.

“There was a British Business Awards last week, and I won the main award. There were about 700 people there, and I just thought, ‘This is cool. This is actually great’.”

Alongside running Trinny London, Trinny has also launched a Maestro course where people can learn about secrets to success.
