offered some words of appreciation after marvelling at the driver’s new haircut ahead of the Autosport Awards. The Frenchman arrived at the ceremony sporting a shaved look, which debuted on his social media channels earlier this winter.

Gasly first showcased his new look on his page. The Alpine star posed for a photo with girlfriend Kika Cerqueira Gomes, sporting a shaved head. He captioned his post: “Happy new year les amis!! thank you for another memorable year, full of love, challenges, lessons and laughs. I want to wish you all a happy & healthy 2025. See you soon! P”

When Gasly posted his winter training summary, fans were treated to more photos of the new cut. The 28-year-old was pictured lifting weights in the gym, running with friends, and playing padel.

Now, Gasly’s hair has caught the attention of another member of the paddock. Mrs Wolff, whose husband is the team principal, met with the Frenchman on the red carpet at the Autosport Awards. “New hair!” she remarked with a smile. “Yeah, new hair,” replied the Alpine driver before the pair exchanged some more friendly small talk.

Gasly wasn’t the only driver showcasing a new hair-do at the Autosport Awards. New team-mate Jack Doohan has also shaved his head and will sport a sleek buzzcut during his full rookie campaign.

The Australian racer arrives in F1 under unprecedented pressure. Alpine’s first-ever academy graduate reportedly has just six races to impress Flavio Briatore and Oliver Oakes before his contract could be ripped up.

“The only certain thing is death,” Alpine chief Briatore told Le Parisien. “We start the year with Pierre and Jack, I guarantee it. After that, we’ll see during the season. I have to help the team reach a situation where it can achieve results.

“The driver is the one who has to finish the work of the almost one thousand people behind him. Everyone works for just two people. And if there is a driver who is not making progress, who is not bringing results, he will be changed.”

Alpine showed a clear statement of intent by signing Franco Colapinto to their roster earlier in January. The Argentine racer impressed the entire paddock after replacing at Williams in 2024 and has now agreed to join Paul Aron and Ryo Hirakawa on the Enstone-based team’s reserve payroll.
