As the much-loved host of ‘s Pointless and House of Games, Osman was reportedly on the producer’s wish list for the celeb-packed edition slated for broadcast later this year.

According to a TV insider who spilled the beans to The Mirror: “Richard would be a terrific signing. He reckons he knows how to commit the perfect murder so could surely spot a Traitor from 100 paces or outsmart the others if he needs to?

Co-host Marina Hyde couldn’t hide her excitement as she exclaimed: “I’m so desperate for you to do Celebrity Traitors. I can’t even tell you,” only for Richard to reveal: “I’m not. I’m really not. I’m not even lying – I know some of the name who are.”

“You tend to keep your more mediocre characters – by the way, not mediocre human beings, just in terms of a TV presence – you tend to keep those in later. If I was a casting director, it must be impossible to do.”

Speaking on the particular flaw of ‘The Traitors’, Richard revealed that it poses a “big issue” for the show’s producers.

“The lovely thing about The Traitors is that it’s a huge hit but the format doesn’t really work because there is absolutely no reason why you would vote off the stupid people.”

He highlighted the repetitive problem within the show’s dynamic: “So season, after season, after season, you end up with people with no insight at all.

“Often people with no insight are also people with not the greatest personalities either. So that happens time after time, that is a big flaw.”
