“I don’t think it will hasten a visit by them to the UK, but perhaps if charity work or business brings Harry this way he’ll be keen to meet his new cousin.”

Lilibet received her name as a tribute to her late great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II. Lilibet is known to be a nickname used by the late monarch as she couldn’t pronounce her name properly as a child. The late Prince Philip also continued using Lilibet as a nickname for his beloved wife.

Beatrice decided to use the middle name of Elizabeth for both Athena and her eldest daughter, Sienna – who was born in 2021. Unlike her sister, Athena also has a a second middle name – Rose.

Speaking further about Athena’s birth, Ms Bond told the publication: “This was lovely news. After the brutality of last year for so many of the royal family, 2025 is looking altogether brighter.

“It must have been rather alarming to have such a premature and tiny baby.

“I think the hospital has to be commended for keeping the birth completely confidential for a week. But all, it seems, is well and the family are obviously delighted.”
