With its beautiful green foliage and white-spathed flowers, are popular known for its beauty and air-purifying properties.

While the plant can be sensitive, keeping your beloved in one specific spot in your house can help it to bloom and stay healthy for longer.

Peace lilies “flower best” in bright but indirect light, producing one or two white hooded blooms lasting for over a month, according to plant retailer .

As rainforest plants, peace lilies enjoy a semi-shaded, warm, and humid environment. As a result, plant owners shouldn’t place them in front of a window that regularly gets the hot afternoon sun because this will burn them.

The experts suggested that a simple way to determine if your peace lilies are receiving too much light is to look for signs of yellowing leaves.

While peace lilies do well in a semi-shaded environment, they still need some sunlight as if they’re kept in a dark area without any sunlight, “they won’t produce flowers”, the experts warned.

However, if they are kept in a dark area, peace lilies will still produce green leaves all year round.

In addition to the right light conditions, the houseplant should be kept in a warm and humid room. The experts consequently suggested placing peace lilies in the kitchen.

While the kitchen may be the best spot in the home for a peace lily to thrive, depending on the light conditions, an equally good room in the house for a peace lily is the bathroom.

Another location to consider is a bright, humid part of the home that is near other plants because, as a group, they can create their own microclimate.

In order to encourage peace lilies to produce white , symbolic of peace and purity, the experts recommended deadheading them once the flowers have faded.

Deadheading, which is the process of removing dried-up and wilted flowers, helps to keep the plant looking neat and speeds up the next flowering process.
