Netflix star’s brutal swipe at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle ‘So much money with no plan’

John Mulaney, the Saturday Night Live sensation, has stirred the pot with his latest announcement about a new venture, while cheekily taking a dig at the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in the bargain.

This Wednesday saw the unveiling of Mulaney’s forthcoming project, Everybody’s Live with John Mulaney, promising to be a rollicking ride on starting March, featuring a glittering array of stars across 12 weeks of live-aired variety talk show shenanigans.

Addressing the crowd at ‘s showcase event, the 42 year old comic couldn’t resist the urge to draw parallels between his deal and that of and .

He quipped, “This is a really fun experiment. Not since Harry and Meghan has given more money to someone without a specific plan.”

Mulaney added, “Like Harry and Meghan, there’s nothing but goodwill on my side. People are rooting for me left and right.”

The Royal couple themselves made waves with their contentious debut in December 2022 through Harry and Meghan, a three-part docuseries chronicling their whirlwind romance and controversial departure from the Royal frontline—sparking both praise and criticism.

In the meantime, the Duchess is poised to capture audiences with her own offering, With Love, Meghan – a lifestyle series set for a March release after being postponed due to the wildfires in Los Angeles.

In a surprise twist nearing the end of 2024, it was reported that the high-profile couple decided to pursue a ‘professional split’, taking on more individual commitments and appearances.

However, just this week, they appeared to have reunited with Meghan joining her spouse for the February Invictus Games.

Meanwhile, reflecting on his own project, John shared his thoughts: “It was one of those shows that neither nor I really needed to do. I never wanted to host a talk show and they were getting out of the talk show game, so it was the perfect moment to do this.

“We will never be relevant, we will never be your source for news, we will always be reckless. will always provide us with data that we ignore.”

Embracing the uniqueness of his show, John said, “There is absolutely nothing new about what I’m doing. But by taking a lot of elements other people have already done and doing them out of order, it feels new and that’s what’s important.

“If we can be one-tenth as popular on as anything from South Korea, I will have the most successful talk show in world history.”

In streaming news, has announced its upcoming reality competition titled Building the Band, which, in a poignant revelation, will feature Liam Payne in what is described as a ‘posthumous appearance’ after his saddening demise last October.

Everybody’s Live with John Mulaney will premiere on on March 12 at 3am on .
