Fans of were not impressed this evening as they accused of airing a “boring” episode. Many fans at home love when someone takes a risk and goes high.

But that was not to be on this evening’s new episode as host welcomed four new players to take on the Chaser. The show saw Taven from Knutsford, Sharron from , Rumun from and Sally from Woking come together to test their wits against Shaun Wallace, hopeful for a cash prize.

First up was Taven, who didn’t do too well in the cashbuilder round and then went on to disappoint fans at home as he opted for a middle offer. His time in the game was short and sweet as he was quickly out-witted by Shaun and eliminated.

Next was Sharron, and while she wasn’t keen on the low offer of £1,000 she also daren’t go for the higher offer either. She opted for a safe middle option of £5,000, but was caught and joined Taven in being sent home with nothing.

Rumun was third to play and by this point there seemed to be a theme emerging. Yet again the player opted for a middle offer, this time of £8,000, but Shaun was on form and caught up to him, sending him packing.

As the players were knocked out, one by one, fans at home complained that they were “bored”. One even noted that Brad looked defeated.

Posting on X/Twitter, they said: “#thechase Not happening with this game today, even Brad looks like he’s given up.”

Another added: “No how do you switch off? #TheChase.” One more said: “What a waste of time so far.

“An excellent player with £8,000 cashbuilder but refusing to go for the £80,000. Why does nobody take risks anymore? This is a boring episode today! #TheChase.”
